Job Description

As market leaders, Keysight is at the heart of the current technology revolutions. We help our customers accelerate their innovations to connect and secure the world anywhere, anytime with any information – voice, data, video, and whatever they can imagine next. As a DSP software design engineer, you will join a high-performance R&D team located primarily in Santa Rosa, CA, and partner closely with teams around the globe developing software for signal generation and signal analysis applications. Our team is a core and essential part of Keysight’s product development group for 5G communications but also develops and provides key DSP technologies for a range of product teams and industries.

Our team researches, creates, validates, and implements technology such as modulation analysis, Channel coding/decoding and MIMO, using industry-leading technology in a highly collaborative development environment. High-performance digital baseband signal processing will require the latest and most advanced CPUs and FPGAs. We are looking for experienced candidates who are excited about the latest technologies and will develop software solutions that fully utilize and realize the potential of these next generation computational engines. The successful candidate will lead and participate in the early investigation, software architecture design, and development work, focusing on long term research goals but also be able to respond effectively to current customer requirements. To do so, the successful candidate will coordinate with world-wide teams and provide leadership and mentoring to other team members.

Job Qualifications

• 
  BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related engineering discipline with software emphasis
• Strong background in digital signal processing
• Knowledge in RF measurements in wireless communications
• 2+ years software development experience (C and/or C++ is preferred)
• Experience with VHDL/Verilog coding, logic simulation, synthesis and familiar with design tools Xilinx ISE / Vivado would be an advantage
• Strong knowledge and experience in object oriented (OO) design and programming
• Proficient in building, testing, and debugging software
• Demonstrated ability to work with a team and collaborate effectively with across global teams of engineers achieve objectives
• Understand business and customer needs and apply knowledge to create innovative solutions
• Interest or experience in Machine Learning, Neural Networks or AI would also be an advantage
• Good organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
• Proven ability to deliver complex and challenging assignments
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for learning and professional growth

Candidates must be local to Santa Rosa, CA or willing to relocate. Relocation support will be available for qualified candidates
