Job Description


As an AEM Developer you will be responsible for translating the content management requirements into technical designs which includes enterprise-level architecture and implementing strategies using components of the Adobe AEM platform to support multi-site, multi-channel, multi-lingual delivery environments.

In this role you get to

  • Develop Digital Consumer experiences using Adobe’s AEM product suite, including AEM Sites, AEM Assets, DAM and Workflows
  • Design efficient content models, security models, workflows, and templates
  • Develop and oversee OSGI bundles, AEM templates, HTL/Sightly components, and services, AEM launches, workflows, localization features, AEM Mobile and Forms applications and the AEM DAM
  • Develop powerful features such as multi-site and multi-channel delivery, personalization/targeting, content aggregation & syndication, multi-lingual support, automated workflow management, social media etc.
  • Create AEM components and page templates, combining backend Java, HTML/CSS, and frontend JavaScript frameworks technologies
  • Work with architects to ensure that scalable AEM solutions are created, alongside equally talented CMS engineers
  • Apply deep understanding of AEM and other Adobe solutions like Launch, Analytics and Target to make appropriate technical decisions
  • Diagnose and solve technical problems related to content management implementation.
  • Conduct code reviews for ongoing projects to ensure optimal code quality and appropriate design patterns are used.
  • Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide work breakdown and estimates of work
  • Own and support feature-focused unit and system testing, including features built by other developers on the team, to ensure each project delivers a high-quality application
  • Performs unit testing, implementation, and production application support
  • Participates in troubleshooting problems related to webpage performance & mobile web optimization

Qualifications


In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:

  • 2+ years of experience implementing Adobe AEM 6.4 and later required; AEM 6.5 is a plus. Design, develop and support AEM components, integrations and applications
  • Minimum of 5 years software development experience
  • Minimum of 5 years with J2EE programming experience required
  • Deep understanding of Java, Java EE, Servlets, HTL/Sightly skills, combined with a strong understanding of enterprise Java frameworks such as Spring.
  • Proficient in Day CQ / Adobe AEM foundational concepts, including the use of core frameworks such as OSGI, Apache Sling, Apache Felix, a solid understanding of all of the related building blocks including templates, components, dialogs, widgets, etc., and the Adobe AEM development and deployment process.
  • Good understanding of Day CQ /Adobe AEM WCM capabilities including Multi-site manager and Blueprinting, and the use of online marketing components such as advanced targeting / personalization, and multi-variate testing, is preferred.
  • Experience working with JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, HTML5, CSS3 and related technologies is a plus
  • Experience integrating AEM Cloud Services is a+ (Target, Analytics, Translation Connectors...)
  • Experience working with tools like Docker, Maven, Jenkins, CI/CD, Git, GitHub, Bitbucket
  • Experience working with geographically separate project teams
  • Proficient knowledge of the end-to-end content lifecycle, web content management, content publishing / deployment, and delivery processes
  • Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies (Agile, SCRUM)

Flexible employees may choose to work the remaining working time from their workplace location or home. Flexible employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.

Remote

A remote work persona is defined as an employee who performs their responsibilities exclusively outside of a ServiceNow workplace and is not contracted or aligned to a ServiceNow-affiliated office, including those whose place of work (pursuant to their terms and conditions of employment) is their home. Remote employees are required to work within their state, province, region, or country of employment.
