SCHEDULE: PRN (no guaranteed hours)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Using a specialized knowledge of human behavior, Social Workers enhance problem solving and coping for patients and families throughout the hospital setting. Social Workers provide emotional support, psychosocial assessment, supportive counseling, crisis intervention, group therapy and the provision of information and referrals to appropriate community resources. Social Workers collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to enhance quality patient care and to work towards the achievement of optimal levels of patient care and well-being. By making use of social work skills, Social Workers contribute to program development, quality improvement, and problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.

Qualifications

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

One or more years post master's experience with a minimum of one-year program experience

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Licensing by the State of California (LCSW) in process or Registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from an accredited school of social work
