The Challenge
Come join Adobe Stock to be a part of a highly motivated team developing both our product and the way we develop it. Adobe Stock is a leading online marketplace for digital assets that provides designers and businesses access to hundreds of millions of high-quality, curated, royalty-free photos, vectors, illustrations, templates, audio and 3D assets for all their creative projects. The Adobe Stock service provides an interactive web experience and is integrated with Adobe desktop apps to search, browse, and access assets across desktop and mobile devices. Be a part of building and supporting this experience!
What you'll do
- Contribute design, architecture, tooling, and code to a large, highly available, highly scalable, and performant distributed web application system.
- Be a leader in finding common solutions to facilitate development across a dozen teams.
- Be a driver of common web platform tooling, components, and packages used by over 100 engineers and multiple Adobe organizations.
- Identify and design architectural changes to achieve world-class developer experience and efficiency within a large distributed system.
- Identify bottlenecks in tooling and processes and implement changes to achieve huge efficiency gains.
- Drive successful usage and uptake of common tooling and architectural patterns across a large organization.
- Drive important upgrades of tooling like React, Webpack, and Babel.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong experience in building large, complex web applications in JavaScript and Node.js.
- A love of identifying and solving common issues experienced across many teams and driving fundamental change.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and execution skills to work with many engineers and stakeholders to identify, design, implement, and roll out web platform improvements.
Bonus Qualifications
- Deep experience with building, configuring, and optimizing complex React applications with Webpack, Babel.
- Strong knowledge of containerization tooling such as Docker.
- Experience in analyzing and optimizing end-to-end web application performance metrics such as JavaScript bundle size reduction, Time To Interactive, First Byte optimization, and Streaming Rendering.
- Experience delivering high-quality software in a high-pace, CI/CD environment.
- Experience building and deploying distributed frontends, sometimes referred to as Micro Frontends.
