Our mission is to codify & automate all aspects of running security tools to enable resiliency, scalability and performance. We craft & implement orchestration solutions, allowing us to reach the next level of scale in our deployment procedures. We’re using the latest technologies to build platforms and services to support our growth while also ensuring the protection of Workday data and infrastructure is paramount.
The team of engineers work on several security tooling initiatives like secret management, platform and infrastructure security in Workday's data centers as well as public cloud environments.

Design, develop, test, troubleshoot in the infrastructure, application and network layers, at scale.

Participate in design and code reviews, providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers.

Support and facilitate the continuous improvement of security at Workday by providing technical consultation from design through to implementation across Workday's engineering organization.

Participate in troubleshooting production service systems, providing thoroughly documented analyses of service incidents and using them as input in future change iterations.

Encourage and facilitate a culture of high quality development and operations responsiveness.

Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation for services the team is responsible for.
- 5-8+ years experience developing in at least two modern "web-scale" languages such as Go, Python3, Elixir, Scala, Ruby, Kotlin or Typescript, with a development emphasis on highly distributed microservices.

Proficiency in the use of Git and a deep knowledge of source control management for large codebases.

Proficiency as a user, admin and developer on GNU/Linux distributions including CentOS, RedHat, Ubuntu.

Proficiency in data center infrastructure configuration using two or more configuration management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible, Terraform.

Experience with one or more public cloud providers, including serverless and container-based deployments.
- Experience in managing and maintaining production services with modern lifecycle methodologies and tools, including CI/CD, "NoQA", ZDT deployments, observability and metrics instrumentation tuning and analysis, on-call rotations, etc
