Tesla is looking for strong, self-motivated, mission-driven software engineers to work on projects throughout our entire product portfolio. We are hiring for engineering groups across Autonomy, Robotics, Vehicle & Energy Software, and even Manufacturing. Open roles include Full Stack Tools/Applications Engineers, C++ Generalists, SQA, and Security Engineers.

Locations

• Expertise building modern web development frameworks, preferably in Python, C++, or Golang • Knowledge of networking, computer architecture, and computer science fundamentals • Experience handling services in a large-scale distributed systems environment • Experience with production systems and orchestration in AWS or a private cloud, especially with Kubernetes, using tools like Terraform, Ansible, ArgoCD, Docker, Prometheus, or similar. • Experience building modern web applications using React/Redux or similar component-based libraries • Strong JavaScript coding abilities • UI and graphic design sensibilities • Experience with OpenGL, WebGL, or THREE.js (nice-to-have) • Experience building modern web applications using React/Redux or similar component-based libraries • Experience in Python, Go, or another modern backend language • Strong JavaScript coding abilities • UI and graphic design sensibilities • Strong Linux fundamentals (nice-to-have) • Experience programming C/C++ software, including modern C/C++ (C++14/17/20) • Experience with performant software design, object-oriented C++, compiler design and/or hardcore lower-level C code preferred • Strong Linux fundamentals • Experience with one or more of these programming languages: Python, JavaScript, Golang, C++, Ruby, Java • Knowledge of relational databases/SQL • Working knowledge of test methodologies, processes, and tools (e.g., Selenium, Concourse CI/CD, Appium, JIRA, STLC, Test Management tool –ALM, Zephyr) • Experience in designing automation frameworks and developing test automation software • Knowledge of Web/UI testing • Cloud Security knowledge, experience with securing one or more of: CI/CD, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Docker, Public Key Infrastructure • Security expertise in one or more of: Rust, Go, Ruby, C#, C/C++ • Proven record of designing and delivering software security systems for internet-connected embedded devices • Strong investigative and analytical problem-solving skills
