Participates in coordinating, reviewing and monitoring highly technical and complex plant design, construction management, operating and power contracts relating to the construction of major waste-to-energy plants and other energy recovery facilities; and performs other related duties as required.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: Equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university with major work in mechanical, civil, sanitary, electrical, chemical or nuclear engineering.Verification Requirement: You must submit evidence of your education in order to be given credit. Unofficial transcripts will not be accepted.EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: One year of registered or equivalent professional engineering experience in the planning, design, and/or operation of a large oil, coal, waste, or nuclear fueled power plant. Such experience must have demonstrated knowledge of design requirements of a large oil, coal, waste-to-energy, nuclear power plants and other energy recovery facilities; construction standards, requirements and problems; plans and specifications regarding power plants; principles and practices of engineering regarding the design, construction, maintenance and operation of waste-to-energy plants and other energy recovery facilities; ability to coordinate, review and monitor highly complex plant design, and operating and power contracts relating to the construction, maintenance and operation of power plants.Preferred Experience: Planning, design, and/or operation of a large waste-fueled power plant.License Requirement: 1) Current State of Hawaii registration as a professional engineer in civil, mechanical, electrical, or structural Engineering. You must submit a copy of your professional license (Hawaii or out-of-state) within 7 days of filing this application.
